Charleston, SC
So it's been 3 months and I haven't even completed my Savannah/Charleston trip blog! I like to prove to everyone just how pathetic my blogging abilities are! I spent 3 nights in Charleston, SC after completing 4 nights in Savannah, GA. I cannot wait to go back to Charleston - such a youthful, hip city mixed with so much historic culture!
On my drive in my hot red Mustang, I stopped at Middleton Place... it was a bit pricey, but the gardens surely make it memorable. The home itself was not overly stunning, however, the outside gardens and land surrounded by rice fields, make it outstanding. Who knew rice was grown in MUD??? I vowed never to eat rice again, but I'm a girl who loves her carbs. Rice wins, I lose.
I brought my new camera on this trip, and I have yet to upload my pictures, so please enjoy pictures from each location's website...
My favorite movie, The Notebook was mostly filmed here in the Charleston area, so I did take a few stops along the way to celebrate my favorite film.
Cannot make a trip to C-town without going to Fort Sumpter. There were a few yawns on my part, too much of our country's history was began at Fort Sumpter to NOT visit. It's worth the trip, but would not repeat this stop.
Feel like a fiesta?? OMG Taco Boy is the answer to my Mexican needs. You cannot come here and leave without a frozen screwdriver. It pays to add Grand Marnier! Can I just mention that the food here is AMAZING. I feared for my life on the drive here, but survived without bullet holes in the car.
Cannot wait to break bread at Jestine's Kitchen again... talk about the BEST Southern DOWN HOME Cookin'!
Had a little drink in such a charming bar called the Gin Joint...
My friend took me to the absolute best and nicest meal in this city... High Cotton! I also wanted to try FIG and McCrady's, but those trendy places take a back seat to the dining experience I had at High Cotton...
That's enough for now... on to Colorado! Perhaps I'll actually upload the pictures from my Nikon from Savannah and Charleston... who knows!

YAY YOU BLOGGED :) I enjoy reading about your trips!
