The Merc
This is part two of my Tulsa Time post... this one is completely dedicated to a place I've been wanting to visit for a while. I'm a fan of the Pioneer woman on the Food Network and her home is in Pawhuska, OK. We took a road trip and made the two hour (one way) hike to this tiny town and visit The Mercantile.
We heard that this place gets crowded after 10 (lunch crowd starts lining up!), so we left their home shortly after 7-ish or 8. I can't remember because I'm not a morning person.
We decided that we were going to have breakfast and do a little shopping. We did not get to meet Ree, but we lucked out with her hubby, Ladd.
My advice: get there early, or late I imagine. As we left close to noon, there was a line forming outside. It happened to be a colder day, but they had nice heat lamps outside to help keep the line warm.
The store is HUGE and shopping is plentiful. Prices are steep, but I expected that. Don't even waste your time looking at the over-priced clothing.
The upstairs was super neat and we ended up hanging out for a while upstairs. A fully stocked cafe and beautifully decorated with sofas and chairs for lounging.

Here are a few shots of the outside.
Of course, breakfast was amazing.
Some photos of the inside. My favorite photo includes a hot rancher.
Upstairs:
Again, my advice is come early otherwise you'll have a slight wait.
