What's in my medicine bag?

Reallllly catchy title, eh? Well, the subject simply implies my travel medicine bag. As you've noticed in the last several blog posts, I'm still prepping for my 10 night vacation. Here's a list of what is always in my medicine bag when I travel more than a couple of nights away. I only refill this bag, never unpack things from it.

Medications:
Dramamine drops
Pepto Bismol chewables
Tums
Tylenol
Aleve
Motrin
Allegra
Zrytec
Benadryl
 Flonase (not featured)
Systane eye drops (not featured)

Here's a look into my travel medicine bag...

I received this bag with a Mary Kay purchase. It's a very simple and small bag that holds everything I need.

A peek inside when you first open it up. Dramamine drops is in the glass container.

Dramamine, Cortizone cream, Neosporin, and Benadryl creams - I've needed each one of these on a cruise and had to pay an excessive amount of money for it on the ship!

I know over the counter medications pretty well, so I don't have to label my medications.
Tylenol, Motrin, and Aleve are a must. Benadryl, Allegra, and Zrytec (not featured) are also staples. My flonase and systane will be packed last as I use them daily. Big bag is Tums, then pepto, alcohol wipes, and a bandaid first aid kit. I'm also considering Imodium just to be safe.

This is not only a smart idea for any travel, but it will save you a ton of money as well. Like I said at the beginning of this post, I use this travel medicine bag for all of my trips that require a flight to another state. You never know when you will need something in the middle of the night.

I learned my lesson the hard way on a cruise in 2008. I was in the rainforest in Dominica and discovered a rash on the right side of my right leg and arm. I'm sure the right side of my body touched something I was allergic to, but we couldn't find cortisone cream or Bendaryl cream anywhere. I only had oral Benadryl with me, so I basically slept most of the time in the cabin when we weren't in port! #boring So I refuse to be too unprepared again. You cannot plan for EVERY occasion because you would be a walking Walgreens, however, with a few simple steps you can be almost prepared for most occasions!
